Texas Sage is a dense, structured shrub known for its soft silver-green foliage and vibrant purple blooms. The contrast between the muted leaves and bright flowers gives it a clean, polished look that adds color without feeling overpowering.

This plant grows into a full, rounded shape and holds its structure well over time. It prefers full sun and well-draining soil and requires minimal upkeep once established. Texas Sage is reliable, durable, and easy to manage with occasional trimming if a more controlled shape is desired.

Blooms appear in bursts, often following changes in weather or humidity, creating natural pops of color throughout the year. Flowering timing can vary, making each plant slightly different.

Texas Sage works well as a standalone shrub, hedge, or filler plant to add texture and color. Its consistent form and repeat blooming make it a popular choice for residential landscapes.

Low maintenance. Strong structure. Seasonal color.

Delivery Information

We offer local delivery throughout the Tucson and Southern Arizona area for all our desert landscape plants and trees. Our plants are specially selected and grown to thrive in the Arizona climate. Delivery options and fees will be calculated based on your location during checkout.

Care Instructions

All of our plants are drought-tolerant desert species perfectly suited for the Tucson and Southern Arizona climate. These plants are adapted to thrive with minimal water once established. Water deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry between waterings. Most desert plants prefer full sun exposure and well-draining soil.

Planting Guidelines

When planting desert plants in Arizona, choose a location with appropriate sun exposure for your specific plant. Amend native soil with compost to improve drainage if needed. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball and plant at the same depth as the nursery pot. Water thoroughly after planting, then reduce watering frequency as the plant becomes established. Mulch around the base to help retain moisture and regulate soil temperature.
